McCoy Ready For A Stretch-Run Resurgence?
As ESPN insider Tom Carpenter noted this week, we've seen some improvement from LeSean McCoy in recent games, as he has averaged 112.3 total yards over his past three outings. Still, he has just one 100-yard rushing performance this season, so he hasn't come close to matching the pace he set in 2014, when he led the league in rushing.

The Eagles offensive line has played a role in McCoy's comparatively slow start this season.

"There are clear reasons for McCoy's struggles, particularly the numerous injuries the Eagles have suffered on the offensive line," wrote John Smallwood of Philly.com.

"The most recent good news that center Jason Kelce is ready to return to action is muted by the fact that right guard Todd Herremans is now going to attempt to continue playing despite a torn left bicep."

McCoy also was dealing with a toe injury early on, which likely lingered and impacted his production.

Regardless, as ESPN's Field Yates noted prior to Sunday's game, we should expect Shady to be a dominant fantasy running back the rest of the season:

"Defenses -- as they did in 2013 -- are going to challenge the Eagles at or near the line of scrimmage," Yates wrote. "On the first drive of the game against New York, McCoy had three runs of at least 12 yards in which the Giants ushered out a single-high safety look and congested the box.

"That's normally an invitation for an offense to throw the ball, but Philly is a dedicated running team. The upside to running against a heavy box is that if the back can penetrate through the line of scrimmage, there's much more space to operate at the second and third levels.

"Don't be surprised to see McCoy rack up 10-plus yard runs and huge fantasy points going forward."
