No Real Surprise; Bowe Officially Ruled Out For Sunday
Following up on a previous item. ... According to ESPN.com's Adam Teicher, it's official: The Chiefs will be without leading wide receiver Dwayne Bowe and one of their top pass rushers, Tamba Hali, for Sunday's game against the San Diego Chargers.

The Chiefs may rest some of their key players Sunday with hopes of keeping them fresh as Kansas City has already clinched the fifth seed in the AFC playoffs.

Bowe suffered a concussion after taking a solid hit to the head and neck area from safety LaRon Landry in last Sunday's game against the Indianapolis Colts. Bowe is second on the Chiefs and leads their wide receivers in receptions (57), yards (673) and touchdowns (5).

Junior Hemingway, who has eight receptions for 80 yards and two TDs this season, is Bowe's backup, but some snaps could also go to A.J. Jenkins.

Outside linebacker Justin Houston and left tackle Branden Albert, will be available to play on Sunday. Houston missed the last four games with a dislocated elbow, while Albert has missed the last three with a hyperextended knee.
