Forte Has An Eye On 2,000 Yards From Scrimmage
According to Chicago Sun-Times staff reporter Patrick Finley, Matt Forte expected it.

He expected the 1,200 rushing yards (third-highest in the NFL) and the 522 receiving yards (fourth-highest among running backs).

And Forte told Finley it would mean something to turn the 1,722 yards from scrimmage into more than 2,000 in the final two games.

“It means that our offense is doing well,” he said.

Doing well tonight against the Philadelphia Eagles might not necessarily mean scoring. The Eagles’ LeSean McCoy leads the NFL with 1,850 yards from scrimmage and 1,343 rushing yards.

“I just want to be on the field, so that he’s not on the field,” Forte said. “Because that gives us a better chance of winning. If your offense is on the field keeping them off — they have a high-powered offense as well — it’s going to give us a better chance of winning the game. And we all know how important these last two regular-season games are.”

That being the case, the Bears have to stress their own strength in the passing game and attack the Eagles defense at all depths with big receivers Alshon Jeffery and Brandon Marshall. Jay Cutler has to be the focal point.

According to the Sports Xchange, this can't be a conservative attack and the running of Forte has to be a complement.

That doesn't mean he can't be effective or generate fantasy-friendly numbers; it's just a reflection of the advantage Jeffery and Marshall have over defenses. It can't be ignored.
