The Facts: Following up on an ongoing story. ... Last year, Arizona traded third-round and fifth-round picks to move up five slots in the first round to choose the UCLA quarterback. So now, if they pick Oklahoma QB Kyler Murray, the Cardinals would have to dump Rosen after 13 shaky starts, and it’s a tricky proposition. In fact, if they decide to move Rosen, they probably won’t recoup anything resembling value for him. “Probably a three,” one general manager told NBCSports' Peter King. “Not what the Cardinals would think his value is.”
Diehards Line:King also asked Hall of Fame QB Kurt Warner, who lives in Arizona and watched Rosen last year, what he thinks the value for Rosen is. “I would give a three for Josh,” Warner also said. Of course, as Profootballtalk.com's Mike Florio point3ed out, there are plenty of variables here, including that the Cardinals may not want to sell low, keeping Rosen for just-in-case reasons (or simply to not tip their hand about their interest in taking Murray first overall). And there could be a team desperate for an answer at the position who may give more for a guy with 13 starts in a disastrous situation. It only takes one team to make a desperate plunge, like the one the Cardinals made last year. We'll be watching for more.
