The Facts: Might tailback Chris Ivory’s release open up more touches for Grant?
Diehards Line:As Times-Union staffer Ryan O'Halloran noted, in the regular season/playoffs, Grant rushed 32 times for 253 yards and caught six passes for 100 yards. While the statistics are skewed by his two fake punt rushes (58 and 56 yards), Grant showed a terrific burst against the Patriots in the AFC title game. Maybe not on an every-down basis, but the Jaguars should come up with a weekly package of plays (rush and pass) for Grant that would serve as a break for Leonard Fournette and challenge defenses on the perimeter.
