The Facts: A week into camp, the Colts still haven't activated Luck from the physically unable to perform list. GM Chris Ballard said last week that it will happen before Week 1; according to George Bremer of the Anderson (Ind.) Herald Bulletin, that assessment still stands.
Diehards Line:
Jason La Canfora of CBSSports.com passed along rumors on Tuesday suggesting Luck could open the season on PUP, something that would put him out for six games. The local take is more along the lines that Luck might miss a game, but return shortly after that (assuming he's taken off the PUP prior to Week 1). But even then, Luck is missing valuable reps in practice. As PFT's Mike Florio notes, Luck is surely smart enough and skilled enough to eventually get himself ready, and he’s surely putting in plenty of work without practicing. But with no reps in the offseason program and no reps thus far in camp and uncertainty as to when he’ll be able to practice, there’s reason for concern.
