The Facts: According to multiple reports, the Bills have declined to match the two-year, $6.4 million offer sheet that Gillislee signed with Patriots.
Diehards Line:
Gillislee is now a Patriots and joins a crowded backfield with holdovers James White, who just signed an extension with the club, Dion Lewis and another free-agent acquisition, Rex Burkhead. The Patriots now owe the Bills a fifth-round pick as compensation for singing Gillislee, a restricted free agent who had 101 carries for 577 yards and eight touchdowns last year. It would appear the addition of Gillislee (and Burkhead) will leave unrestricted free agent LeGarrette Blount out of the picture in New England.
