The Facts:
The Broncos announced they've officially hired former Chargers HC Mike McCoy as their OC.
Diehards Line:
McCoy left Denver and then-quarterback Peyton Manning after a 2012 season when the Broncos finished second in points, fourth in total yards, fifth in passing yards and 16th in rushing. Friday's news bodes well for two young, moldable quarterbacks on the roster. Both Trevor Siemian and Paxton Lynch will have a chance to be the team's opening day starter. Neither has a complete season as a starter under their belts. In addition, recently-removed Raiders offensive coordinator Bill Musgrave, who helped build a top 10 unit this year in Oakland, signed on as quarterbacks coach. Siemian was 8-6 as a starter in Denver this season, with 3,401 passing yards, 18 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. Lynch made three appearances, throwing for 497 yards, two touchdowns and an interception.
