The Facts: Forte's hamstring injury is a minor pull from before training camp that he and the team are trying to treat with caution. "I headed into camp, had a slight pull, setback," Forte said Sunday. "So now we're just taking it slow so that I don't re-injure it. Hamstrings are tricky, if you re-injure it you could be set back longer."
Diehards Line:
The halfback said he injured the hamstring while running on his own. He's missed the team's first four practices but didn't provide any clarity as to when he'd be able to get on the field. "Once they give me the go ahead I'll be at practice," Forte said. Given his experience, Forte can afford to take it slow right now in order to limit the risk of re-injury. But it's an injury we'll continue to monitor in coming days.
