The Facts: The Broncos have reached an agreement on a one-year contract with slot receiver and punt returner Norwood.
Diehards Line:
A free agent, Norwood drew serious interest from the New York Jets and Detroit Lions but ultimately decided to stay put. Norwood, 29, is among the smallest Broncos at 5-11, 180 pounds, but his versatility is his strength. As a slot receiver, he finished strong with seven of his 22 catches coming in the Broncos' final two regular-season wins against Cincinnati and San Diego. Norwood later set a new record in the 50-year Super Bowl with a 61-yard punt return that helped the Broncos defeat Carolina, 24-10. Norwood returns to a Broncos’ receiver group that also includes Demaryius Thomas, Emmanuel Sanders, Bennie Fowler, Cody Latimer and Jordan Taylor.
