The Facts: The Eagles aren't expected to use the 2016 franchise tag, today or at all before the March 1 deadline, to ensure the retention of their most prominent free agent, Bradford.
Diehards Line:
All indications are the Eagles remain open to Bradford returning, but not if he's going to cost them $20 million a year. As Daily News staffer Les Bowen notes, the Texans and Broncos might be potential suitors if Bradford hits the open market. Clearly, interest from others would drive up the price to some degree. There has been some talk that the new HC Doug Pederson has an interest in former Eagle and current Rams QB Nick Foles. Or they could add through the draft realizing they are in rebuild mode.
