The Facts: Newly anointed HC Doug Pederson made it clear last week that Bradford is his kind of signal-caller, saying: "I think he's a top-notch quarterback." Sounds like a match, but will Bradford stick around? "I think he's excited," tight end Zach Ertz said Monday. "He wants to be in Philadelphia."
Diehards Line:
Bradford is coming off an up-and-down season, but he's bound to draw interest on the free-agent market if the Eagles don't lock him down. Pederson, though, hinted at Bradford as an offseason priority, saying last week: "He's a quarterback that would fit perfectly into a system I'm going to bring." As NFL.com's Marc Sessler, Bradford is one of the most overpaid quarterbacks of his generation. He inked an outrageous six-year, $78 million pact with the Rams -- with $50 million guaranteed -- before even playing a snap. With just 25 wins over six seasons, the Eagles have little proof that he's about to morph into a reliable franchise passer. Still, if Pederson truly likes what he sees, Bradford is about to make another hill of cash.
