The Facts: Harvin is tired of being considered just a slot receiver. "Aside from the first two years I got in the league, I've been just a gadget guy," said Harvin to the Bills team website Friday. "I've been dying to just sit down with that one coach who will tell me what I'm doing wrong and what I need to do."
Diehards Line:
Lucky for Harvin, he says he found that coach in Sanjay Lal. The speedy wide receiver signed with the Bills this offseason following Lal and HC Rex Ryan, who both coached him with the Jets in 2014. Harvin credits Lal with developing him into a bona fide wideout who can perform outside the numbers as well as in the slot. "I fell in love with Sanjay (Lal) as a coach," Harvin continued. "His ability to get me to process things so quickly. ... Going into the second or third game, I felt like I had been playing outside for years ... That was all a part of my big decision to come here." Harvin has a one-year deal with the Bills and is lining up in the most talented offense he's played in -- except one still without a proven quaterback. Maybe a better-utilized Harvin can help said (still-undetermined) unproven QB prove himself.
