The Facts: According to ESPN's Jeff Legwold, Thomas said he won't be working out at Duke with Peyton Manning or participate in the team's offseason program.
Diehards Line:This probably shouldn't come as a huge surprise. The Broncos applied the Franchise tag to Thomas, who is using his minimal bargaining leverage by not signing the franchise tender until July 15. That will also allow him to miss the team's mandatory minicamp in June, in addition to passing on the team's conditioning and organized team activity workouts. Whatever the case, Thomas will be a Bronco in 2015. That won't keep us all from worrying about his decision to skip workouts that would certainly be in the best interest of the Broncos (and fantasy owners), but nobody should be hitting the panic button any time soon. Besides, Manning, who is known for preparing as intensely as possible (preferably with all his favorite weapons), will almost certainly be irritated enough about the absence for all of us.
