The Facts: Harvin will visit the Buffalo Bills, according to a report from Yahoo Sports. The New York Jets released Harvin on Tuesday after acquiring him in a trade last October.
Diehards Line:As ESPN.com's Mike Rodak notes, the Bills don't have a pressing need at wide receiver after spending their 2014 first-round pick on Sammy Watkins (and trading away their 2015 first-round pick to do so) and a 2013 second-round pick on Robert Woods. But their depth chart thins out after those two young players, with Chris Hogan and Marquise Goodwin the top reserve options. As Profootballtalk.com suggested, the decision of Rex Ryan, his former coach with the Jets to bring him to Buffalo is a strong endorsement of Harvin for other teams, if those other teams ever get a chance to sign Harvin. The Patriots could provide another litmus test for Harvin. Coach Bill Belichick's friend, Urban Meyer, coached Harvin at Florida. If Belichick doesn't want Harvin, that could be a bad sign. It may never get to that point.
