The Facts: The Broncos chose to tag Demaryius Thomas over Julius Thomas. Demaryius wasn't going anywhere. Julius, a one-dimensional, mostly red-zone producing tight end whose late ankle woes trumped his early rash of touchdowns, isn't worth re-signing.
Diehards Line:
Well. ... He's not worth re-signing at the price he's looking for at the moment. It remains to be seen what that value actually is -- although he reportedly turned down a five-year, $40 million offer that wasn't structured to his specifications. The Broncos will likely try to retain him, but obviously price will be an issue and it appears there are those in Thomas' camp who aren't pleased with the way the TE has been treated by fans in Denver. ... Oakland, Atlanta and Jacksonville are all likely to have an interest.
