The Facts: Following up on the ongoing story. ... Broncos boss John Elway didn't have a chance to get into his room upon arrival at the NFL Scouting Combine before he was asked about Manning. "He hasn't made a decision yet," Elway said as he embarks on his fifth NFL scouting combine as the Broncos' boss of football operations. "I know he feels better. We had a good talk."

ESPN's Chris Mortensen has reported that Manning told the Broncos that he is "physically and mentally prepared" to play "at a significant level" this year. Apparently something was left out there. Or, it's possible the two sides are talking contract before making an announcement. It certainly seems everyone expects Manning to return, but there's been no definitive announcement from him. ... Stay tuned.
