The Facts: Perhaps there will be a surprise appearance at mini-camp Tuesday, but it currently does not look like Dobson will be taking part in practices this week. Dobson, who is recovering from March foot surgery and did not take part in organized team activities, is said to be doubtful for this week’s mandatory mini-camp, according to a source.

Diehards Line: The original timetable following the procedure was said to be 2-3 months. The wide receiver delayed the surgery to March because there was hope that his foot could heal without surgery. Dobson is no longer wearing a walking boot and is said to be “doing better.” Dobson first injured his foot during a Week 12 game against the Denver Broncos, missed three games, and then aggravated it during the season finale against the Buffalo Bills. He returned for the AFC title game against the Broncos but was limited to 21 snaps. Over 12 games during the regular season, Dobson caught 37 passes for 519 yards with four touchdowns. He is expected to play a major role in the passing game during his second season. But he'll need to be healthy to do so. We'll follow up as developments warrant.
