The Facts: Following up on the ongoing story. ... The Texans hold a three-day mandatory minicamp next week. HC Bill O’Brien said Friday he’s unsure whether Johnson will attend the three-day session, which runs Tuesday through Thursday. “I don’t know,” O’Brien said at NRG Stadium. “I don’t know.”
Diehards Line:
Johnson, who is at odds with the organization, missed all 10 of the Texans’ OTAs, which concluded Friday. At this point, it wouldn't be a huge surprise if he fails to show for mandatory work, even if it costs him. In cast you haven't been following along, Johnson is frustrated about the overall lack of progress in Houston and is not sure he wants to be part of yet another rebuild under O'Brien. And again, we'll remind you that Johnson doesn't have a lot of options here. So while fantasy football owners should expect him to be on the field in a Texans uniform handling his usual role come Week 1, we should all be prepared for considerable drama in the interim.
