The Facts: Bell was in attendance, but didn't participate in the team's three-day, voluntary minicamp two weeks ago. It appears he is battling a knee injury based on a photo posted to his Instrgam account Wednesday afternoon. The photo shows the left knee wrapped up with a pair of crutches beside him in the back seat of a vehicle. The caption reads, "Be (back) in no time.
Diehards Line:
As MLive.com notews, NFL teams are not required to provide injury reports during the offseason and new coach Jim Caldwell has repeatedly declined to offer specific information on that front for any player. Bell did miss some practice time with a knee injury at the end of season. Still, Bell is coming off the best season of his professional career, racking up 1,197 yards and eight touchdowns from scrimmage. He signed a three-year, $9.3 million contract with the Lions in March and fantasy football owners can expect him to continue playing an integral role in the offense working in tandem with Reggie Bush.
