The Facts: Following up on a previous item. ... The Texans have released Daniels, according to John McClain of the Houston Chronicle.
Diehards Line:
The move clears $4.5 million from the Texans salary cap for 2014. Cutting Daniels isn't a huge surprise. Although the 31-year-old veteran is still a very productive player when healthy, he missed 11 games last year after breaking his tibial plateau and has had injury issues in the past. He was coming off a 62-catch, six-touchdown season in 2012, but the new coaching staff seems to be more interested in Garrett Graham. Meanwhile, it's worth noting that former Texans HC Gary Kubiak is now the OC in Baltimore; don't be surprised if the Ravens have interest.
