The Facts: The Redskins have released wide receiver Donte Stallworth to make room on the roster for new addition Anderson.
Diehards Line:Washington agreed to terms with Anderson late Monday night. Anderson spent the first six seasons of his career with Houston, where he played under current Redskins OC Kyle Shanahan, before getting cut earlier this year and serving a brief stint with Denver. Stallworth had appeared in only four games for the Redskins this season and recorded just five catches for 46 yards. Washington is searching for playmakers at the receiver position now that Santana Moss is sidelined with a broken hand. He is expected to be out at least another three weeks. Mike Shanahan on Sunday promoted rookie Leonard Hankerson to the starting lineup.
