The Facts: Michael Lombardi of NFL Network reports he has confirmed from two NFL team sources, the Jets are willing to trade Cotchery, possiblely to free up cap space and sign other free agents.
Diehards Line:With Braylon Edwards and Brad Smith gone, the general assumption had been that Cotchery would play an even greater role in the passing attack -- even with the arrival of Plaxico Burress. The fact the Jets are suddenly willing to part ways with a guy who's been willing to do whatever the coaching staff has asked of him is a pretty good indication their expectations for Burress are high.
