The Facts: Bengals LT Andrew Whitworth believes Palmer is serious about his trade request according to the Cincinnati Enquirer. "I’d love to have him back but that’s one of those decisions where Carson wouldn’t speak out unless it was something he was serious about," Whitworth said. "He’s not the kind of guy to bring this up and just throw it out there as a bargaining tool. He’s serious."
Diehards Line:WR Terrell Owens also weighed in on Palmer's recent trade demands, which have been denied by the Bengals. “What a lot of people really don’t think and really don’t understand about this situation with Carson asking to be out of there (is) he’s saying something without really saying something,” Owens said during a Friday appearance on NFL Network. “That’s what a lot of people should read (into). There is a line that needs to be read in there. He knows that there’s some things within that organization that just aren’t right. ..." For what it's worth, Owens also told viewers the problems in Cincinnati start at the top -- singling out both owner Mike Brown and HC Marvin Lewis for criticism. “I think if you look at the talent we had in that locker room this year and we mustered four wins, that should let you know something is not right,” Owens said. It's safe to assume Palmer sees things in a similar way.
