The Facts: In response to a readers question based on the assumption new OC Mike Martz views Devin Hester as a slot receiver, Sun-Times staffer Neil Hayes predicts Aromashodu is likely to emerge as the Bears' true No. 1 WR.
Diehards Line:Hayes explained, "Jay Cutler is the person who will decide who the team's No. 1 receiver will be, and based on what we saw last year, it seems clear that he has a connection with Aromashodu. ..." Hayes reminded readers how of the way Cutler signaled to Aromashodu and then threw back-shoulder passes against Charles Woodson and the Packers late last season and suggested, "That's the type of communication that a quarterback has with his No. 1 receiver. ..." Hayes is right: With Hester, Aromashodu, Johnny Knox and Earl Bennett all likely to see considerable playing time this fall, Cutler will be the biggest factor in determining the pecking order on the field.
