The Facts:
If when, or if, there is a labor settlement, Republic staffer Kent Somers still expects the Cardinals to immediately pursue a trade for Eagles QB Kevin Kolb. But I also think the Cardinals will make it clear to the Eagles that they have other options. Somers is hearing the Cardinals also think highly of Orton, who supposedly is available via trade.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Somers went on to suggest the Cardinals have Kolb rated slightly ahead of Orton, but maybe not enough to justify paying a bounty to the Eagles for him. In other words, why give up substantially more for Kolb than you would for Orton? As Somers framed it: "Do the Cardinals give up first and third-round picks, or two seconds, for Kolb when Orton can be had for, say, a second or third rounder?" As Larry Fitzgerald -- and the average Fantasy Football owners -- will tell stress, however, the Cardinals can't afford to miss out on a front-line player at the position. Or as Somers summed up: "While the Cardinals could try to manufacture a little leverage for themselves, that's all it will be: A little. They are still the ones in desperate need of a starter."
