The Facts:
According to Daily News staffer Manish Mehta, OC Brian Schottenheimer will take full advantage of Conner’s versatility, including lining him up in single-back sets and making him a part of Mark Sanchez's pool of pass catchers.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
As Mehta explained, the second-year fullback will provide a dimension that veteran Tony Richardson didn’t the past three years. Conner proved that he’s more than just a bone-crunching blocker in the regular-season finale against the Bills with eight carries for 44 yards, including a 16-yard touchdown. Richardson was a smart and solid blocker with tremendous leadership qualities, but he only had 22 carries and nine receptions in three seasons with the Jets. Connor is a different player, however. “When you talk about John, he immediately gets put into that ‘Terminator’ role,” Schottenheimer said. “That’s what everybody talks about. But you’re talking about a guy who’s an awfully good athlete. As he continues to grow as a player, I think you’ll see a guy that flashes the ability to do so many things whether it’s playing in a one-back role or catching the ball out of the backfield. ..." It'll be interesting to see if he can follow in the footsteps of Richardson, who at one point in his career, was one of the league's best ball-handling fullbacks.
