While this doesn't appear to be a position of great need for the Cardinals, Tim Hightower could be a free agent and Beanie Wells has yet to demonstrate the durability necessary to be a featured back. According to his
NFL.com scouting report, Williams has a chance to develop into an every down starter. Has the vision, toughness, burst, and lateral-mobility necessary to move the chains and make some big plays. However, he must do a better job holding onto the football and improve his ability to consistently contribute on third downs. Of concern? He also dealt with injuries as a redshirt sophomore and currently lacks some bulk of a typical load-back. But with the Cardinals lacking a high-end QB, it's safe to say that Arizona plans to rely heavily on their rushing attack this fall.
