QB controversy on! The Jaguars gave up their first (the 16th overall) and second round picks to Washington in order to move up and select Gabbert. According to his
NFL.com scouting report, Gabbert has it all physically, but has a long way to go before he's ready to lead an NFL offense. He played in a spread offense and will have to learn to take snaps under center and make progressions in the pocket. However, he is a smart football player that seems to understand coverages and he has the arm strength to fit the ball into tight windows. And his presence in J-ville now means the inconsistent David Garrard is officially on notice.
