The conversion to a 3-4 defense last season didn't go as planned for DC Jim Haslett and the lack of a pass rush opposite outside linebacker Brian Orakpo was a major issues. In fact, Orakpo, a Pro-Bowl pick, was the only Redskin with more than 2.5 sacks. Washington needs someone else to generate pressure. Kerrigan could be it. According to his
NFL.com scouting report, Kerrigan is a beast of a football player that has the ability to be a difference maker at the next level. There are questions whether he can play on his feet in space in the NFL, but Kerrigan will get ample opportunity to prove himself in Washington.
