The Cowboys had not drafted an offensive lineman in the first round in 30 years. Owner Jerry Jones had never done it. That just changed. According to his NFL.com scouting report, Smith is blessed with an ideal NFL frame and has the outstanding feet and athleticism necessary to be a starting left tackle. While he'll have to be a quick learner, the Cowboys will expect big things immediately.
