The Miami Dolphins have finalized the hiring of Brian Daboll as their offensive coordinator.

Daboll, who was the Cleveland Browns’ offensive coordinator the past two seasons, wasn’t expected to be retained by the Browns after they fired head coach Eric Mangini following a second successive 5-11 season. Dan Henning left the Dolphins after three seasons as their coordinator. Daboll takes over an offense that ranked 21st in the NFL in yardage this season. The Dolphins were next to last in the AFC in points — behind only the Browns.
