The Ravens' web site has confirmed that DC Greg Mattison is leaving the team for the same position at the University of Michigan. Mattison has strong ties to Michigan coach Brady Hoke, but the move is still a surprise.

Former secondary coach Chuck Pagano will take over as DC. “We’re excited for our defense and for Chuck, and we’re happy for Greg Mattison,” said HC John Harbaugh. “I will talk more about it tomorrow when we formally announced Chuck as our new coordinator in a press conference. ...” We'll follow up as needed, but it's safe to say the Ravens will continue to follow the same defensive scheme and approach under Pagano as they did under Mattison.
