HC Pete Carroll told reporters during a Wednesday news conference that newly hired assistant HC/OL coach Tom Cable will be involved in "every aspect" of the decision to hire a an offensive coordinator.

Carroll identified Minnesota Vikings offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell as a candidate to succeed former OC Jeremy Bates, who was fired last week. Bevell was previously identified only as a candidate to coach QBs. Carroll pointed to philosophical differences with Bates as the reason for their divorce. Carroll said expects Cable to help restore the run-pass balance the team failed to achieve this season. According to Sando, wWe should expect the Seahawks to become more of a running team, with Cable's attitude and style branding the offense.
