Browns Release Statement On Donte' Stallworth
(6/16 7:49 PT)

The Facts:
Browns GM George Kokinis released a statement Tuesday night following the developments of Stallworth, who received a 30-day jail sentence after pleading guilty to DUI manslaughter. "The Browns are very conscious of the seriousness of the charges to which Donte' Stallworth plead guilty to today," Kokinis said. "We are continuing to evaluate the situation and will make the decisions that we believe are in the best interest of the Cleveland Browns." Reported by ESPN.com

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
As previously noted, Stallworth is all but certain to be facing some form of league sanction. And as Profootballtalk.com's Mike Florio suggested tonight, "if commissioner Roger Goodell wouldn't even begin to take up the reinstatement request of Mike Vick while he is still in custody -- that is, on house arrest -- doesn't it seem possible (if not probable) that Goodell will not allow Stallworth to play until he serves all of his time?" It's a good point. If that's the case, Goodell might shut Stallworth down for the 30 days he is behind bars and for the two years of house arrest.
