Agent Confirms Brandon Marshall's Trade Request
(6/16 11:20 PT)

The Facts:
Days after Marshall elected to miss the team’s mandatory mini-camp, and word spread that Marshall reportedly asked the team for a trade, Marshall’s agent confirms that his client has indeed asked to leave. “Yes there was a meeting between Brandon, and Mr. [Pat] Bowlen. There was a request for a trade," Marshall’s agent Kennard McGuire told Fox31 Sports' Josina Anderson Tuesday morning. Reported by kdvr.com

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
McGuire went on to tell Anderson: "Mr. Bowlen has said that ownership will do everything in it’s power to accommodate his wishes. ..." We'll see about that. While we won't argue with Anderson's contention that team officials "want to make this an amicable split-should that indeed occur," we aren't big on the chances of it happening. But Anderson -- a Denver television reporter with a strong history on breaking news -- wrote this morning: "Know this, if the team can find a trade partner or trade partners that will deliver favorable value for their best receiver in return, Marshall will be gone. ..." As we suggested in a previous item, that approach -- while seemingly unlikely -- might be understandable.
