The Facts:
Following up Favre-Watch 2009. ... If his shoulder injury proves to be relegated solely to the QB's biceps tendon and is a partial tear, Favre will likely play again. He could undergo a simple procedure to complete the tear, the rehab would be quick and Favre would be ready for training camp. But there is a palpable fear around Favre that there is a more serious injury to the shoulder. One source said, "If you put your finger in (Favre's) shoulder it goes right through. That's not a good sign. There's a reason why he hasn't picked up a football yet."

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
The fear, two sources told Journal-Sentinel staffer Greg A. Bedard, is that one of three other injuries will be found: Additional damage to the rotator cuff; that the biceps tendon has come out of its groove possibly by a rupture in the sheath that surrounds it; or that there is cartilage damage in the shoulder. Bedard adds that any of the three would likely end Favre's latest comeback attempt. One question: Why would the Vikings be looking at X-rays for a tendon (as ESPN reported)? An MRI would be needed to assess tendon damage. ... Stay tuned.
