Report: Giants, Eli Manning Close To New Deal

The Facts:
Sources close to the National Football Post have informed us that the Giants and Manning are very close to finalizing a new contract that will make him one of the highest paid players in the NFL, as well as the highest paid Giant. A few more details need to be ironed out and barring any last minute stumbling blocks, expect a formal announcement next week.  Reported by hamptonroads.com

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Previous reports have suggested Manning could earn a league-high $15 million per season. That would be an average of $1 million more than his brother Peyton is making on the seven-year, $98 million deal he signed with the Indianapolis Colts in 2004. That would make the 28-year-old the eighth QB to top the $100 million barrier. ... Stay tuned.
