No official word came out of Super Bowl week, but the Chiefs have yet to make a move since firing Herm Edwards on Jan. 23, and Haley is believed to be the leading candidate. According to Sun-Times staffer Brad Biggs, one source claims minority candidates have turned down interviews to fulfill the Rooney Rule because the prevailing feeling in league circles is that the job belongs to Haley. Haley worked with new Chiefs GM Scott Pioli when Haley began his career as an assistant with the New York Jets. Haley worked for Bill Parcells in New York and again in Dallas, and Pioli is Parcells' son-in-law.
