Marshawn Lynch Expected To Plead Guilty Friday
(6/25 8:50 PT)

The Facts:
Lynch is expected to plead guilty Friday to a traffic violation -- which is not a criminal charge -- for the hit-and- run accident involving his vehicle, law enforcement sources say. Authorities investigating the May 31 accident have discussed two possible traffic violations: Failure to exercise due care to avoid striking a pedestrian or leaving the scene of a property-damage accident. Reported by the Buffalo News

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Each of those violations carries a maximum penalty of $250 and 15 days in jail, but first-time offenders are all but assured of avoiding jail on such charges. According to the News, sources have said that both Lynch and his passenger, Bills rookie wide receiver Steve Johnson, have claimed they didn’t know their vehicle had struck anyone. ... For what it's worth, Lynch is expected to make a public statement about the incident Friday afternoon. The general consensus seems to suggest the league won't take any action against him, but Lynch might want to express some contrition at some point.
