The Facts:
There have been rumors that the Cardinals might be interested in trading Boldin. After a pre-draft press conference held Tuesday, GM Rod Graves said that's not the case. "We're not interested in trading Anquan," Graves said. "That's the short of it. Obviously because of those rumors, a few teams have called to inquire, and my response has been consistent with everyone: We're not interested in trading him."

As Republic staffer Kent Somers explained, the logic behind the rumors says the team can't afford to keep Boldin and Larry Fitzgerald in the long term so they might be willing to part with Boldin. Couple that with the fact that Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has said he would like to trade for a receiver and that the Eagles and Redskins are in the market for ones, too. ... But Boldin is under contract through 2010, and the team hopes to extend that deal. If negotiations go nowhere and it becomes obvious the club can't re-sign Boldin, the the team's plans might change -- "But we haven't arrived at that point," Graves said.
