Utecht signed a three-year, $9 million restricted-free agent offer sheet with the Bengals on March 14. The deadline for the Colts to retain their veteran TE by matching the offer was midnight Friday, and Utecht's agent, Chris Murray, had heard nothing from the team as the deadline passed. Murray took Indy's silence as its decision not to match the offer. Cincinnati is expected to make its latest acquisition official later today.

Meanwhile, losing Utecht leaves the Colts thin at the position. Dallas Clark's supporting cast now consists of Bryan Fletcher, Gijon Robinson and Zac Herold.
