The Facts:
Chronicle staffer Megan Manfull has talked to Schaub recently and the QB's shoulder is healing well. He may be slightly limited when the conditioning program starts on March 31, but the Texans are not expecting him to be slowed for long. Schaub has progressed quickly in the rehab and because the surgery was on his non-throwing shoulder it worries everyone less. He can throw to receivers now since he has almost his full range of motion back. But it just isn't strong enough to take a hit.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Meanwhile, Manfull suggests that speculation about trading Sage Rosenfels is off the mark. Although ex-Jaguar Quinn Gray will this week, Manfull believes Rosenfels is too valuable to a team that is still unsure just how many games Schaub, who missed five games due to injury last year (and left four other games early) will play. But as the draft gets closer, if a team surprises the Texans with an offer that's hard to refuse, Gray could be their backup plan.
