Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
After some confusion (a trade that didn't go through resulted in the Ravens passing at 26), they figured things out and landed a top talent at a position of need. Baltimore's starting CBs -- Chris Carr and Josh Wilson -- both could become unrestricted free agents. Domonique Foxworth, a starter in 2009, is coming off a torn ACL that sidelined him all of last season. And nickel back Lardarius Webb is 16 months removed from tearing his ACL. So it's no surprise they were able to overlook Smith's character issues here. According to his
NFL.com scouting report, corners with Smith's size, speed and confidence in press coverage don't grow on trees. And placing him in a veteran locker room like Baltimore's should help with the off-field stuff.
