The Facts:
To the chagrin of Bus Cook, Brett Favre keeps talking. He spoke on Wednesday to WDAM-TV, an NBC affiliate. Favre mentioned that he has gained 14 pounds since January. "I need to lose a little weight," Favre said.

Favre also tried to explain that the harsh comments Cook made to Men's Journal (see previous item) were taken out of context and that Cook was "joking around" when he called Favre a "drama queen." Favre told WDAM, "I guess the lesson to be learned in all that is, I hate to even say it, that you can't trust anybody. ..." We beg to differ. You can certainly count on Favre to continue tossing out vague comments meant to drag out the official confirmation of his return for another season as long as he possibly can. What do we mean by vague? When asked on Wednesday if he is in shape for the season, Favre replied: "Im a 40-year-old man in shape for a 40-year-old man. ..."
