A league source tells us that the Titans and Johnson have agreed to terms on a new contract that solves the financial problems between team and player. At least for 2010.

According to PFT's Mike Florio, the arrangement will pay Johnson more money this year, with no additional years being added to the contract. Johnson currently is signed through 2012. It had been reported that the Titans would likely accelerate some escalators money Johnson unlocked for future years as a way to bump up his $550,000 base salary for 2010. ... Florio went on to stress the new deal has not yet been signed, so it could fall through. Still, Florio believes it's unlikely that will happen. ... Stay tuned. More as further details come to light.
