The Pittsburgh Steelers have given HC Mike Tomlin a two-year contract extension, a deal that includes an option year that can extend the deal through 2013. The financial terms weren't revealed.

Tomlin, 38, became the youngest head coach in NFL history to coach and win a Super Bowl when he led the Steelers to a 27-23 victory over the Arizona Cardinals in Super Bowl XLIII two years ago. Tomlin was hired at age 34 in 2007 and has gone 31-17 in the regular season with two AFC North titles.
