The Facts:
Houshmandzadeh underwent surgery last week in Philadelphia to repair a sports hernia, an injury coach Pete Carroll said had cropped up last year.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
According to Times staffer Danny O'Neil, Houshmandzadeh watched Friday's mini-camp practice, but did not have a helmet. Assuming a 6-to-8 week recovery, Houshmandzadeh should be fully healed well in advance of training camp. Still, the missed off-season work can't be a positive with the team installing a new offense and with Deion Branch (coming off arthroscopic knee surgery) also watching from the sidelines.
