The Facts:
Jerry McDonald of the Oakland Tribune reports Russell reported on time for Raiders mini-camp this morning. According to McDonald, Russell doesn't look 300 lbs, for sure. One other thing, Russell is practicing as well.

Indeed, McDonald reports that Russell throwing with authority in routine drills. ... The fact he's practicing seems like a pretty good indication the Raiders intend to let him stick around -- at least until they have to start handing him game checks come September. The team recently traded for QB Jason Campbell, who is expected to be their starter; Russell, meanwhile, is scheduled to make $9.4 million if he remains with the team.
