The Ravens have announced they have terminated the contract of Sypniewski Wednesday after he failed to pass a physical.

The restricted free agent sat out all of 2008 and 2009 after having major reconstruction surgery on his left knee. Sypniewski, 27, originally tore his anterior cruciate ligament in mini-camp before the 2008 season. According to reports, the former fifth-round pick underwent a minor clean-up surgery on Feb. 6 that wasn’t expected to impact his potential return in 2010.
